This is a collaborative animated music video that I produced with Travis Benn. It was selected as a Vimeo Staff Pick and winner of the "Best Animated Video" at the 2015 Austin Music Video Festival.
14 teams of Austin based studios and freelancers participated in a 48 hour animation challenge in the spirit of an Exquisite Corpse presented by the Austin Motion Artists Group, Moontower VFX, Houndstooth Studio, and The Octopus Project.
On January 17th, 2014, each team received a specifically designed start frame, an end frame, an 11 second 4 bar phrase of the chosen Octopus Project song and a guiding theme "The Ecstatic Energy of Geometry."
2 days later, everybody converged on Moontower VFX to assemble their segments into a seamless 3 minute music video, drink beer, and revel in the bliss of their collaborative creation. There was also a pool table.

I had the opportunity to create a concept video and explore what the future of the Chaotic Moon brand might look and feel like. I worked with visual designer Sarah Thomas to create style frames to guide our animation. She illustrated all of our final visual elements, as well as provided art direction throughout the process.
I then took those elements and animated them, specifically to project onto a set of dual screens that we had custom made and hung in an empty warehouse. I projection mapped the animation to the two screens and the effect creates a lot of optical illusions and disrupts the viewers sense of place.
We shot all of this over two days and made this video to promote our company and to highlight what a future version of the brand might look like.
A reel of most of the work I've been involved with at Chaotic Moon from October 2013 to August 2015.
Additional works by Brad Dugdale, Chenglei Wu, and Zac Taylor.
An explainer video I animated for Chaotic Moon. Illustration by the ever-talented Nathan Walker.
This was a fun piece I got to animate for Hack Studios. CSID wanted an animated video to highlight their ETI campaign and gave us a ton of creative freedom from start to finish. I had a lot of fun animating the gorgeous illustrations from David McKay.

This is a cut of a handful of the graphics I created for the feature documentary A Kingdom Within by Bob Peck. I worked very closely with my longtime friend Bob on the completion of this film in my roles as Co-Producer and Post Production Supervisor and was very excited to be a part of this film.
The film began as a response to a couple of evangelical Christian pastors referring to yoga as “demonic” and “against Christianity”. While not all Christians have these sentiments, there are many Christians that are conflicted about their yoga practice. The premise of this film is based on one of Jesus’s most direct and timeless instructions- that the Kingdom of Heaven cannot be observed, for it is within you (Luke 17:21).
This film is a compilation of interviews from yogis, Christians, and scholars comparing these ancient spiritual systems, and why or why not they might have a compatible application.

I was contacted by Dano to help out on some of the VFX work on the animated short film Flatland 2: Sphereland. In this short scene, I animated the exhaust/flame coming out of the rocket and all of the atmospheric smoke and fog in the scene. I also animated the asteroid fields and explosions. Overall I worked on 46 shots over 6 weeks.

I was approached by Lorenzo and the guys over at Dub Academy to create a logo bumper for their videos they have been producing. The illustration was done by the super talented Elli Egilsson and the audio was an original bit from Cody Wilson aka Corduroi.
I worked with the guys at Zoticus on this piece for Capital Metro. I had a lot of fun on this one getting to explore a little character animation.
